What is the best HVAC coil cleaner for musty smells ?? Your experience please.
I have used the following 3: BBJ, Nu-Calgon. WEB. but my experience is none of these 3 are 100%. Again, the question is to eliminate musty smells, not for general coil cleaning. some people told me 'bleach and warm water' is the best ?? Your thought please .

Any coil cleaner will work but you need to physically remove the source of the odor.
If the coil is very dirty and something is just sprayed on it what remains could have an odor..
The coil and pan needs to be carefully brushed to remove surface dirt, washed with a good coil cleaner and then thoroughly rinsed.
Sometimes this is not easy to do because of how the coil is installed and it has to be either fully or partially removed from the furnace or air handler.
