Replaced fan motor

Hello I replace place blower fan motor and capacitor the problem I have not when the ac shut off and restarts blower fan motor won't spin less I spin it first any help would be helpful thanks

You had the problem, changed the blower motor and capacitor and still have the same problem ?

Condensation or refrigerant leak inside central AC unit?

This morning, I leveled my 10-year old American Standard AC unit which sits outside on the ground. I had to jiggle the unit quite a bit - moved it back and forth 1 or 2" several times to get it right. A couple of hours later, I looked through the top and could see a small amount of liquid (1 or 2 tablespoons total) on the base of the compressor, on one of the lines, and on the valve at the top of the compressor. Is it rain from last night? Condensation? Or a refrigerant leak? I've never looked inside the unit before, so I don't know if it usually has condensation. But now, because I bumped it around a bit while inserting shims to level it, I'm concerned that I loosened the connection and the liquid might be a leak from the valve. However, I don't quite see how a leak from the valve at the top of the compressor would get on the line where it is wet. How can I tell whether this is from a leak? Do I need to call my heating/ac service person?Read More

replace drier with refrigerant service?

I am seeking advise on what is the right approach. I had an HVAC technician come out and replace refrigerant in one of our AC units (this was done through home warranty company). I then had another company come out that was not linked to home waranty company and had good ratings in our area, this was after an issue with the other AC Unit. The second company told me that anytime refrigerant is exchanged a drier has to be replaced as well (to prevent moisture) Now the cost of this service is ~$300 (sounds like for refrigerant exchange+drier). I called the original HVAC guy and was told that they don't change drier with refrigerant exchanges. That the reason I was told to change it is because the other company makes more money by doing services that are not necessary. So who to believe?Read More
