A/C outside fan not working
AC is TRANE.
This after I noticed the sound of AC doesn't seems right. It turns out that the fan is not running at all, although the AC has buzz noise.
I set the temperature higher in the thermostats so the AC stop buzzing. After 10 minutes I set the temperature lower, but this time AC didn't buzz and fan wasn't running (downstair fan works ok, still have air coming out of outlet, but not cool).
Anyone can give advice what could be wrong and how do I diagnose it?
Thanks.

Open the panel and visually inspect the capacitor. If the end with the electrical connections appears swollen it will require replacement. ( and often when it isn't swollen)

I think you are right, attached the photo I took, the capacitor seems swollen.
Can I use this from homedepot as replacement? Packard 440-Volt 55/5 MFD Dual Rated Motor Run Round Capacitor-TRCFD555 - The Home Depot
If not, where can I find compatible capacitor? Thanks!

the review is bad for the capacitor from homedepot, but I don't know where can I buy locally...

I wouldn't call two reviews an honest appraisal of the item.
Many times the equipment puts a strain on the cap.
You may not be able to buy one locally as many HVAC supply companies will only sell to the trade. You may have to search online. There are several online HVAC suppliers and also amazon.
For $10..... I'd get that cap for service now. Order a better one and keep that for a future spare.

Homedepot doesn't have it at local store so I ordered similar one from Amazon with prime shipping and it arrived today. The new capacitor is a little smaller but I managed installed it and now I have a working AC!
Thanks all!
