York window air conditioner keeps adjusting the temp

I have a window type aircon in my living room that is driving me insane! Ever since i had it replaced about a year ago, it keeps adjusting the temperature by it self, so its either cooling waaay to much or not enough - it is IMPOSSIBLE to find anything near an acceptable sweet spot and its seems to become worse, since its adjusting every few minutes now.

I live in a rented condo and my landlord and her technician doesn't seem to care at all about fixing it, so i have tried adjusting the thermostat placement, but nothing seems to help.

Any tips on how to trouble shoot, or what it could be? I have already had two different technicians my landlord have sent to look at it without them being able to do anything about it, what so ever.

If nothing else works i will try find another outside technician and pay for it myself, even tho it should be done by landlord but we already have several disputes over things that are not being replaced etc, so its mostly down to a matter of principal that i dont want to be the one being held accountable for all the things that keeps breaking here, including my kitchen hood, water heater etc

Any tip would be appriciated.

Not sure about the exact model, but its a fairly big unit York brand with digital display/controller

Welcome to the forums.

If that unit has done that since day one there may be nothing you can do.
i don't understand "changes temperature by itself". Do you mean the temperature that you set it to changes by itself ?

I'm going to need a model number. Remove the front plastic panel that holds the filter.... it should be on a tag behind that.
