Question Bizarre ongoing Heating and Heat Pump or Compressor Noises

Recently, over the past two months, I began hearing this odd clicking and constant engagement of the heating system in my Texas home. The noise is constant with a buzzing after the click on of the unit. This runs for some time, until at some point, the fan on the outside unit stops and then hot air is felt rising from where the fan is on the top of the unit.

Additionally, I hear what sounds like a steam train releasing pressure and then ocassionally, I hear a squealing of the unit just after with no further noise. I do have a home warranty to address this - however I would like some professional recommendations of what this noise could be. If possible I will attach the Apple audio file I recorded for reference or link to where one can listen to it online.

Please let me know what you think!

Thank you!

That's the reversing valve open and close, I would shut it down. Sounds its going in and out defrost mode. Most likely a bad defrost board.

Does this all day and night.....

Get it looked at quickly before the compressor fails.
Agreed..... a bad defrost board or defrost sensor.
