AC Filter Air Flow

Hello all,

Our AC Unit is in the garage, and the builder told me that there is a single filter for the entire house that needs to be changed here.

I am trying to figure out which way the air flow goes (which way the arrow should point when I put in the filter).

Here is a photo I took and marked up.

It goes up, see the insulation on the duct for one thing. Could of held a small rag or string where the filter goes for a short time.

A/C outside unit making grinding noise on start up on humid days

My outdoor a/c unit is making a large grinding noise for a few seconds when it starts up, but only when it is extremely hot or humid outside. Rheem JEC L-04 error code

I have a Rheem 048JEC Dual Compressor Comfort Control Condensing unit. Last year I was getting an L-04 Locked Rotor error. Worried about the worst I called a repair person in who replaced the Run Capacitor for a $300 service bill. He did come the same day and got me working again No more error codes last year. This year the same error always on Compressor A. The unit could be reset and then would work fine for a day or a week only to repeat the issue. I replaced the run capacitor again. No change still occurring randomly also replaced the start capacitor (not the relay). Still no change. Can go a week or a day and recur. Anything else I can easily check or change?
