Welcome to the forums.

Are these vents on the ceiling ?
Typically the warm air rises and hits the metal vents causing condensation. Usually as the room cools the problem lessens.

The other thing...... if they are in the ceiling.... is that the ducts aren't completely insulated right to the metal vent and condensation is forming right above the ceiling from the cooler room air hitting the hot attic air.

Yes, they are in the ceiling, I think there is A air leak where the duck work branches off the main header. The insulation from the vent to the main header is wet, will remove insulation and inspect.

It's extremely important that the ductwork be well sealed in a hot attic or you will have condensation problems. Not too mention that the A/C needs to run harder/longer to cool what was heated..
