Mild sewerage smell from a single wall vent?
Greetings!
I have a Goodman forced heat and AC unit, it's about 10 years old. Recently I've gotten a mild Sewer smell from one vent in my living room. It's not overpowering, but you can definitely smell it. I've sniffed around the other vents on the main floor of the house(DR, Kitchen, Foyer, Bathroom) and it only seems to be coming from that particular vent. I didn't see any Sewer vent pipes in the area, as all of our plumbing goes out the back of the house, and this vent is in the far opposite side. It's a gas fired furnace, but it doesn't smell like rotten eggs. It also COULD smell like a dead animal, but between that and sewage, they both smell the same to me.
Any tips would be super!

If you have a crawl space I'd do some spelunking and try to locate the source. I doubt it's your HVAC. It's more likely a sewer leak or dead animal in that area of the house or there is some opening or crack allowing the smell to enter the house in that area.
