Air Conditioning Intake duct mold
Hello, Thanks in advance for reading this. I was replacing my filter for the AC this season here in the North Eastern US (Bergen County, NJ) and found a considerable amount of mold on the insulation inside the intake duct before the AC unit. For some reason the insulation is on the inside of the duct. See the pics.
My question is can this be cleaned or will I have to replace the duct? I have called a few duct cleaning companies and they all tell me that it's cleanable.
Thank you, Vincent

This just looks like normal dirt from the picture. I would not recommend Servpro to anyone. They normally use rotobrush which isn't very good at cleaning duct.
Find a company that uses negative pressure to clean the system. Make sure they are cleaning the coul, drain pan and blower
