A/C transformer wiring help
Trying to get help with hooking up a transformer in my Trane air conditioner. I have the replacement part but the person who removed the old one did not take notes of how they took it out as far as connections. I need a wiring diagram for a pf42440

Welcome to the forums.
A PF42440 is a Packard foot mount transformer. It's 120/208/240vAC in and 24vAC 40va out.
White - Common
Black - 120v
Red - 208v
Orange - 240v
Red - 24v (R)
Green - 24v (C)
Based on the Trane system..... it's typically 240v which means you use the white and orange.
The black and red MUST be capped off.
The red and green are the low voltage.

A picture of that area would be helpful OR what colors do you have there OR model of the unit.
The red wire is the R source wire and the green wire is the C common source.
