MRCOOL advantage mini split unit 1800 BTU problem connecting the manifold gauge

I installed MRCOOL Advantage 1800 BTU unit, everything went very smooth.
I went to Autozone and used their lone program to get a manifold gauge and a vaccum pump.
I bought pioneer adapter from 5/16 SAE TO 1/4 SAE
I can connect the adapter to the outdoor unit but it wont fit the hose.
I ordered another one from amazon still having the same problem.

Does Manifold Gauge for Autos different from the one used in Mini split unit?
All the youtube videos recommend this adapter

The gauges are specific to the type of refrigerant used. Automotive refrigerant and gauges cannot be used on a home unit.

Unfortunately the administrators of DIY do not allow specific charging methods or instructions in that anyone handling home refrigerants should be certified by the EPA.
