A/C acting weird. Need help before calling pro

A/C seems to be short cycling. The blower fan will kick on and off 10-15 times in succession, then stay on for a minute or two, then shut off for around 5 minutes, and repeat. The air that it's blowing is cold, and the condenser fan on the unit stays on. Can hear what I think is freon running coming from the blower unit. Installed a Nest thermostat in the winter that worked great for controlling the heat, but has only used the A/C the past 3 days and no issues were noticed then.

Any Ideas?

Does the Nest have a common wire?
The Nest has proven extremely unreliable and problematic. And routinely causes issues like what your experiencing.

No common wire, but it's not having issues with the nest losing power. Can still turn the fan on and off manually

When you leave it in FAN ON mode.... all is ok ?
If yes.... sounds like a stat problem.

Power to the Nest isnít affected. Itís the way the Nest uses the conductors in the thermostat wire that causes the unit to act erratically.
The Nest needs a common wire despite what their instructions claim.
Iíve pulled many of these off the wall due to erratic, unpredictable behavior.
Personally speaking as a 21 year professional tech I wouldnít have a Nest if you gave it to me.
