I have a 19 by 16 inch puzzle I'd like to preserve. I'm not good with painting, gluing, crafty things, I would like any recommendations for what's good and easy to use.
When I want to keep a puzzle or mount it on a wall like a picture I do this:
Use a thin board or cookie sheet to flip it over.
Spray glue on the back.
Apply some heavy paper or thin cardboard as backing.
Mount in a frame or on a wall with mirror clips.
A sheet of plexiglas can be mounted in front with the mirror clips for more protection.
I also have some wooden puzzles that have interesting piece shapes. In order to be able to see the front and back, I sandwich the puzzle between two pieces of plexiglass held together with cap nuts and bolts and spacers that are the same thickness as the puzzle.
I do similar to 2John and sandwich the puzzle in a picture frame. I've never liked the appearance of a heavily podged puzzle. Most of the time we don't bother with any adhesive and just sandwich the puzzle in the picture frame. Then in a few years when we want new "artwork" we replace the puzzle.
I want to experiment making acrylic sheets for my Glowforge, but am not finding anything but Epoxy Resin. Any ideas on where to get Acrylic Resin?Read More
