More attic insulation needed?
Added a master bed and bath on recently. The attic above extends out 5 feet around 3/4 of the addition for a covered porch. I insulated the attic up to the exterior wall, but did not go out into the soffit. I've noticed it always feels colder in the addition and also noticed a breeze in the attic when i was working in it. I know i shouldn't insulate the soffit, but i was wondering about adding additional insulation around the edge of the exterior wall. Kind of build it up to prevent a cold breeze from blowing across the whole addition. Just looking to see if this is a good idea, or if there are any other thoughts about where i should be looking to better insulate the addition.

How many outside walls? When you start having two or three, there's just plain more need for heat to be delivered to the room.
No, I would not insulate the soffits, as they should be part of your attic ventilation.

Actually the breeze is probably good. But they do advise blocking at the eaves to keep it from blowing on the end of the the insulation. Did you install baffles to keep the insulation from touching the roof. Those baffles are available with tails that fold down into the edge of the soffits. Since your insulation and baffles are already in place you may have to improvise. Run this search and click more and the old adage "a picture is worth a thousand words will kick in. "attic baffles to prevent wind washing pictures"
Where your addition overhang the porch (if I'm understand the post, that floor is critical both for insulation and air sealing.
Can you post some pictures?
