Basement Floor Leveling - DMX or Dri-core?

Hey everyone. I almost fully reno'ed my basement and now i am looking at ideas to level the floor. I have about 650 sqft that is sloping about 2 1/2" into two floor drains. I have a few ideas of what i can do. The first thing i was thinking was Dri-core but they say you can only use shims up to 1/2" which is not even close to what i need. Then i was looking at building my own subfloor by using DMX plastic and then ripping 2x4s on top of that with T and G plywood on top of that. Have any of you guys ever seen this done? or have any of you shimmed dri-core 2 1/2"? Any help would be great

Thanks

What type of flooring are you planning to install?

Leveling depends a lot on type, carpet, you can live with a lot, tile not so much!
