New Construction: Basement sub-floor finishing

I have a new home in the Chicago area with a 1600sf basement (9' ceiling) to finish. I am looking for advise on the flooring. My first thoughts are 10 mil poly + 1/2" pink foam + 1/2 plywood sub-floor + waterproof vinyl plank flooring (home theater room may have carpet). I want to make the floor floating, then build the walls on top of the plywood, and then apply the decorative flooring. I am looking for your thoughts and ideas regarding this configuration or other ideas for the flooring. Thanks!!

No way would I be using 1/2" as a subfloor!
Use Advantec T &G instead.

You might look into a product like DRIcore.

Decided to go with 5/8 T&G instead of 1/2".
