composite shutter repair

I have some shutters which are composite and the sides are made of plastic.
This is where the slats fit in. Since they are made of plastic they tend to break easily.
Is there any way to replace these.?

inside of the side

outside of the side

the plastic side which has holes drilled into

Buy new shutters. Once the plastic is brittle and fragile like that it just continues to get worse.

Have you reached out to the manufacturer for replacements?

Because most of the side channel damage is around pivot holes, my guess is the blind material is expanding when warming (pivot holes getting smaller, slat axles getting bigger) resulting in rotation interference. Replace side channels with wood trim drilled with holes located from the plastic side channels.

The side channel is getting damaged because of impact from pets or furniture but not because of weather related expansion/contraction.
The manufacturere is not responding any more

It's difficult to tell from pictures provided but if this was mine, and I know how expensive plantation shutters cost, I would be looking to try and fabricate those side pieces, maybe with strips of wood cut & drilled to fit where the plastic parts go.
