Troubleshoot my hot water system
Good Evening Everyone.
I recently purchased and moved in to my 2002 home with a hot water system/2 story house. The baseboards on the second floor are not getting hot.
However, I am embarrassed to admit that I am not even sure if this is a one zone or two zone system (Maybe the upstairs zone is not calling for heat??). Can anyone advise how I can quickly ensure this is a one zone system?
all the best...

about 26 psi and temperature in the 170s.
There are two thermostats in the house, but I am thinking that the upstairs thermostat is for the central air only.
The upstairs thermostat has a red, yellow and green wire.
The downstairs thermostat has a red and white wire.

You are correct.
The upstairs unit is wired for A/C only.
The downstairs is wired for heat only.
So you don't have an electrical issue. Your system is going to be airbound.
Can you take some pictures above and in front of the boiler including the plumbing. We can help you purge the air out of the second floor.

Thank you Sir!
This unit is also my on-demand hot water, so I figure some of the pipes in the photos are for that.
I don't know if I added more air into the system, but I was able to get one of the upstairs baseboards hot after draining the pipe that is to the right of the expansion tank.
The photo of the pressure gauge is just behind and below the expansion tank.
There is another garden hose drain at the very bottom of the tank near the floor.
I can't find any bleed air valves on any of the four upstairs baseboards, so sny help would be greatly appreciated.

You have a single zone split return turn 1 boiler off 2 close both green handle ball valves 3 hook garden hose to boiler drain valve above green handle ball valve (the higher one) run house outside and open drain valve let run about 10 minutes then close drain valve and open both ball valves up and you have purged the system of air
