Steam vent constant clicking

Hi all, first post so sorry if this is the wrong place.

Recently moved into a new apartment and am having some trouble with the radiator in our bedroom. Have done a bit of research and basically what I can tell is that the steam vent on the (single-pipe) radiator keeps opening and closing...constantly, whenever the radiator is on. It's not a loud banging like the radiator isn't level and from standing right by it, it definitely sounds like the noise is coming from the steam vent itself. It will open and close several times a minute for awhile after the radiator starts to heat up--usually just enough to wake me up at 5 every morning. There are two radiators in the apartment, and the other one in the living room doesn't have this issue.

I tried replacing the vent, but the same thing is still happening. Not sure if there is anything that could be done (or maybe if there are different, quieter steam vents?) but any help is appreciated. Thanks!
