Pouring an additional 2 steps on front patio

Hi All,

Any advice would be great. The problem is my front steps, I am looking to cut off the bottom landing, remove the landscape timbers and then pour 2 additional steps in its place. I was hoping to tackle this myself to save some money (moved in last year and have been gutting room by room and running out of $). My question is how hard it this? I would consider myself an above average DIYer but I have not worked with concrete before.

Also you will notice that there was or is an erosion issue under the steps( this has not caused any settling or cracks in the steps). Seems to be a grading issue, the grade behind the retaining wall has a big slope from right to left. After the steps are done I plan to raise the retaining wall (or replace) in order to bring the grade up higher on the steps and level on each side.

Any advice would be great on whether I can pour an additional 2 steps without it being an issue.

Thanks

I think your problem is bigger than just the front two steps or landing. The entire porch appears to be severely undermined. I'd start looking at options for completely replacing it.
