Rebuilding fieldstone front steps

Hi all, 40 year old fieldstone front steps. Sagging/sinking on one side causing cracking. Tried digging a hole to jack up and backfill with concrete but after 3 feet and not getting underneath I quit because I don't want huge dig site up front. So I need some advice.

Should I...
A. Rip out the whole step, fill crack, build up the base and pour a new step?
B. Fill cracks and re-pour a new step on top of old one compensating for the sag?
C. Dig a big ass hole and jack it up and repair?
D. Rip it all out and build a small deck as an entry?
E. Build a small deck hiding the mess. F. Use the back door.

Welcome to the forums.

Unfortunately I don't see any way of fixing or patching what you have there. I think I'd consider removing it and replacing it with a similar entranceway. It appears to be settling and will continue to do so.

I would think about using the back part of slab against the house as back support. And dig and pour new footer in front, to extend to the crack in side walk. Lay block on footer pour new concrete slab up even or a little lower than threshold. This is said without knowing what is really going on with this whole mess. But one thing for sure I would not attempt to make any temporary fixes, they would be costly and useless.
