Concrete Countertop finish

Hi all,

We recently had a family friend pour a concrete countertop on our outdoor kitchen area. The picture below shows the final result, and we need advice on how to repair/finish out the top properly. Thanks in advance for any and all advice.

Welcome to the forums.

When working with concrete.... the finish is in the original pouring.
What are you trying to do there exactly ?

I think they polish it and then apply a sealer .... but I've never done it or know what tools/products are used.

Well, we want to make the edges smoother than they are, and as you can see, the corner chipped. Any way we could fix it- grind it down or repair with a layer over it?

driveway erosion where it meets concrete garage slab....how to repair?

Hello- The driveway along my in-law's home is starting to collapse in a small area where the driveway meets the concrete slab which is the floor of their garage. I noticed that a few of her neighbors have the same problem. I assume water over the years has eroded away the soil in that particular area but how do I fix this? It's not getting any worse, and I double checked that the gutters are all draining away from the house. Anyway, she wants it fixed. I'm not sure where to begin with it. Thanks. cobblestones for outdoor fireplace?

I'd like to relocate my patio firepit to a spot atop a large granite slab, in an effort to reduce the amount of smoke wafting into my eyes.
