two days ago we had tuck pointing done to bricks on the front of our house. For the first 48 hrs everything looked normal, but today I am noticing white residue on the bricks only -- not on the new mortar which seems to be solid/hard.
Could this be due to a change in temperature? The temps have gone up nearly 15 degrees in the past two days and it is now near 100 degrees.
Thanks for your feedback!

There is a product called Sure Klean available at stone yards. Some people use muriatic acid but I like Sure Klean better. Wear rubber gloves & safety glasses.

If it fails, it's won't be due to the cleanser. There are many reasons why it could fail. One is that water got between the joints. Maybe the pitch isn't right. Even though it generally isn't needed, I use a bonding agent just for insurance. Most people don't & that's okay. It might take a few passes with Sure Klean but that's okay too.
