rebar in a concrete stair well

Hi:
I am pouring 11 steps down the side of my home to a basement entrance.
The home side is 8 inches of poured concrete the other is 8 x 8 x 16 blocks i just laid.
i have the stairs formed and have wire mesh and 1/2 rebar in them.

I am wondering for each step, should drill a hole in the house wall and in the block wall then put a rebar from side to side in both holes. Drill one hole a little deeper to push in the rebar so it fits between the wall and block then pull it into the block wall. the rebar would have equal lengths into each wall.

i was thinking this would keep the steps from moving/floating between the walls.

your thoughts?...

That sounds like a good idea. If you had some epoxy like used for setting anchors in concrete you could glue the rebar into the house and block wall to help prevent the block wall from ever moving/pulling away from the steps.
