repairing cracks in concrete swale
There is a concrete swale next to my old house and a section of it has developed some cracks. Many of the cracks are fine with a few larger 1/8-1/4" ones. I'd like to find an easy way to stop any water leaking through the cracks. Appearance is not an issue, right now I just want to do something before the next time it rains.
Can I make up a mixture of cement, sand and water and drizzle it down into the larger cracks? Cover the smaller cracks with a layer of cement? I'm open to any suggestions, temporary or otherwise.

Thanks for reminding me that hydraulic cement expands. It makes more sense to use it for cracks as long as they aren't very wide. I've read that 1/2" deep is the optimal depth for using hydraulic cement, so I've been pouring some damp sand into the deeper cracks to get the max depth up to around 1/2". Does that sound like a good idea?
