Broken cement cap

Someone broke the corner off the cement cap of this pillar. I have the broken piece and it's a clean break. I think I can fix it by reattached with some sort of adhesive and holding it with a wraparound strap clamp.

Does that sound like a good strategy and what adhesive should I use?

Cement based products wont work so only option I could suggest is a 2 part epoxy material, like the stuff used to install anchors into a slab!

That doesn't work, then a new one!

If I had to repair it, I'd drill and figure out some sort of dowel to help support the broken piece [along with adhesive]. I agree replacement is best.
