Shaker door beads???

My father in law was over the other day and I showed him my progress on my cabinets for my laundry room, which are turning out awesome btw. And he mentioned something about some little rubber beads or something like that, that you can put in with the inset panel so they wont make noise or rattle at all? Has anyone heard of these or know where I can research them? I tried searching but everything just comes up Shaker Doors with bead board. Which I know what that is.

Thanks!

This is what I think he meant:
Round Door Bumper Cushions - Rockler Woodworking Tools

Hmmm... re-reading your post makes me think you're talking about something to keep the panel from rattling in the frame and that's not what I thought initially so my link may not be to what you're seeking....

Yes I use them all the time, can get them at any woodworking store, I don't think orange or lowes carries them. Here is a site that has them in a couple of types
Woodworkers Supply Search Results for: RAISED PANEL
I use them a lot and they have good service.

Perfect, Thanks! Yes I was talking about them barrels. How much shorter do I need to cut my panels then? They look like they are kind of big. I have my panels 1/16 of a gap all around in the groove. Do I need to make them smaller if I use them?

Thanks again!

I usually give 3/16 to 14 inch for the balls. Don't make them to tight or panels will swell and split rails and stiles.

Space Balls

Perfect, Thanks! Yes I was talking about them barrels.
We used the "space balls" at the cabinet shop where I worked.

I will trim them down to this then. Is this size different then per "space ball" brand or pretty universal?

Thanks
