What size nailer to install crown molding

I am installing 2-3 in crown molding and would like to know what size brad nailer I would need.I am just buying cheap one from harbor freight to use this one time. Which nailer woud be best for what I want to do?. Plus how long should the nails be. If I do not use nailer I', not sure what else to use.
PS:I have access to air tank and hose,so that is no problem

If it's 3" crown moulding you should probably be using a 15 or 16 ga finish nailer, not a Brad nailer.

If I'm not mistaken HF's 16 gauge nailer can only shoot up to a 2" nail. I'm a painter not a carpenter but I suspect if you used 2" nails you'd also have to hand nail some longer nails to secure the crown.

My first finish nailer was a HF 16 guage but when it died I replaced it with a better one from Home Depot, I like the new one a lot better than the HF one.

Nailer

Use a nailer that shoots 2.5 in nails.
