Making a desk

I have been asked to make a desk from scaffold boards (38mm x 225mm) 2.5m long with hairpin legs.

Is this possible or is the 2.5m to wide for just four legs? If I position the legs inside there is a risk the desk will tip if any weight goes on either end and if I place the legs towards the outer edge then I will have little support in the middle.

Wondering if anyone has made a desk to these specifications and if so did it work...?

Thank you

Welcome to the forums!

Are these factory built scaffold planks or is it just lumber that was used on scaffolding? The factory scaffold planks should be stiff enough to work with 4 legs. Regular lumber would require some sort of frame work to support it.
