Wooded bartop edge fixable?

Hello all!
From an exterior tiki bar with wooded bartop this edging has water damage.
Are these fixable and/or worth the effort to try?

IIWM, I'd replace with Painted PVC trim boards. You could also use composite material like that used for decks, but the PVC is a lot easier to work with. This is one of those cases where trying to salvage what you have will be more work than starting fresh.

I agree! While the color could be restored to those strips of wood you'd still have the missing areas that would be next to impossible to fill and make look right. If you must have wood be sure to apply 3 coats of a spar poly to it and then recoat as needed [dependent on exposure to the elements that could be yearly] PVC would likely be a permanent fix.
