Moved to interior woodworking for better visibility.

Opinion: Terrible idea in the video. The void under the cabinet would attract a smart burglar who might break it out then the floor trick would be obvious. Anyway we now have to assume the burglar is a master safe cracker. If the safe is easy enough to be opened it must be hid what you really need is a better safe. Then too enough space between the bottom of the molding so that the panel didn't expand in humid conditions and bind would leave a telltale crack that might be noticed.

Splitting hairs but my impression of the builder is low based on his use of the terms "hot water heater" and "cement pad." There may have been more but I got bored and quit watching before the vid was over.

I think it's a good idea. The closet floor would probably be crowed with things and hidden even more.

If I were doing a survey (which isn't allowed here), the video = boring. It doesn't take 2 minutes to show a closet floor slides over, maybe 2 seconds.
