Baseboard trim going down stairs

Hello. I am just wondering what the best way to cut/end/terminate the piece of trim in the attached image. I need to use trim on the stairs due to the floating wall. Thanks

Cut the end the same angle as the corner then nip or bevel the edge of the baseboard.

I guess Mark is talking the same thing, but measure the angle from the molding to vertical. Divide it in two and make a return from the molding, again, cutting the return piece at the angle of the stairs.

Actually I wasn't thinking about using a return but that does make for a nicer look
