What is best to keep new cabinets clean

I installed new cab about 1 year ago. They are wood with a stain. I am especially worried about the wood hood
above the range. The hood has a metal interior but as with any cooking the wood hood will get dirty. What would be the best to use to keep it clean.

I've always used regular household/kitchen cleaners. I don't know if that is hard on the finish long term but IMO it's no big deal to lightly sand and apply a fresh coat of poly when that day comes.

I would just use a damp lint free rag to clean the hood and then buff it with another rag. You could also use some furniture cleaner such as Formby's once in awhile and then apply lemon oil.
The key is to stay on top of the grease buildup before it gets out of hand. You can wipe off grease easily, but not after months or years.
