Iron acetate on plastic wood

Hello everyone,

I'm new to the forum. I have looked all over the internet but couldn't find the answer I'm looking for. So I'm turning to ya'll to help. I am making a reclaimed maple countertop. There was a few gaps that I filled with plastic wood filler. does anyone know if iron acetate will stain the plastic wood filler?

Can you set up a test palette and perform an experiment separately ?

Without knowing what you used as filler it's impossible to say. You'll just have to test an area and see if provides the result you want.

As a rule, fillers don't accept stain well. As stated above the only way to know if the stained filler will be acceptable is to try .... better to test scrap than where it counts.
