Help identifying wood table

We have this six seater table I would like to identify the type of wood used so I can take care of it better and decide what to do with it when we move next year.

Hope someone can help with these pics.

It was bought custom made years ago. I don't know much about woodworking or wood products but it looks like a nice piece with good quality wood and finishing.

I've attached some files in case the links don't work.

The type of wood shouldn't really play any part in taking care of it. Keeping it clean and using polish/wax is all you need to do.

It looks a lot like cherry.

What kind of polish?

Cherry wood? I'll look it up. I would have guessed some kind of rosewood but it's much heavier than the rosewood furniture that I've seen.

I'm partial to Johnson's floor paste wax but most any furniture/wood polish/wax will do fine.
