Cabinet Door Hardware for Sliding Hidden Panel
Hey all, I am trying to make a secret cabinet door system and could use some advice.
My idea was to have two panels (wooden decorative slats) sitting side-by-side on a single plane. To open the cabinet, you would press the center corner of one of the panels and like a stereo cabinet hinge, it would pop "out" or pop "In". One of the positions would allow you to then slide the door behind the other door.
So you would push on it and it would fall back a little bit then it could easily slide to the left or right.
Here is a diagram of what I suppose it would look like. Perhaps the entire panel goes back before slide rather than one corner. ???

I'm not sure what kind of hardware to use to make this happen. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

The magnetic push latch you will be able to easily find. Unfortunately I have never seen a slide or door tract available to make the moving door panel do what you want. You'll likely have to fabricate that mechanism yourself.
