kitchen base cabinet vs sink base cabinet

I am replacing my kitchen cabinet, it appears the big box stores do not have the size for Sink Base Cabinet in stock.

Is it possible to use regular base cabinet for the sink base cabinet?

OR it is a MUST to use sink base cabinet for where the sink is......

Sink base cabinets are special because they have a blank panel at the top (or a small storage tray that tips out) and doors below. Regular base cabinets have drawers or doors that go all the way to the top. You could use a regular base cabinet with doors. When you open the doors you'll see the sink at the top.

Or you could take the drawers and glides out, remove the drawer front and secure it over the holes .... assuming that it's that style of cabinet and not one where the doors/drawers are recessed/flush.
