Fireplace Interior Remodel

I am wanting to do something like this to cover a brick fireplace I currently have. Does anyone know of a way to do this?

Welcome to the forums Jen!

A lot depends on just what you want and how much you want to do to achieve it. Is your brick just a face or is it part of the chimney? pics of what you have would be nice.

If there is wood framing behind the brick you'd want to remove the brick and attach the wood to the framing. You could tap con strips of wood to the brick and then nail the wood to those strips but it won't be flush with the firebox. There are regulations on how close the wood can come to the firebox opening.
