Installing Dishwasher End Panel - How to Properly Secure

I am working on my new cabinets and part of the plan is for a dishwasher end panel. My concern is that I believe this will need to be supported on the floor, as there is granite going on top. I have a 2nd floor condo, so I have approximately 1.5" (maybe less, not sure) of gypcrete before you would hit the plywood subfloor. I'm not certain, but I don't believe the gypcrete is strong enough to screw into (if I were to install some type of 1x2 furring strip). I assume that I could go down to the plywood, but I'm afraid of hitting something in the floor space. I’m hoping that if I don’t use an overly long screw, I will be okay. Does this sound like it would work okay?
