Kitchen Cabinets Drawers
I’m looking to build some new kitchen cabinet drawers (old ones are falling apart). I’ve seen some of the cabinet drawers in Home Depot which are slick on the inside. Are these finished with lacquer or are the coated with a glue on finish?

Pretty hard for us to answer when we don't know what you're looking at. Some drawers have a photographic (fake) melamine finish. Others are real wood with a lacquer clear coat. Hard to say what you saw at HD.
If you intend to make your own, a clear lacquer finish on birch or maple drawers would look fine.

Yes those look like "rock maple" melamine drawer bottoms. Can't tell for sure. Usually if you pull a drawer out you can tell by examining the corners or bottom. Could also be maple/birch veneer plywood.

Also look into putting in soft closing drawer slides. need to be added while building to make drawers fit.
