green white mold removal from wood in basement
hello
i have some green/white mold growing on my basement beams and floor joists due to dampness and humidity issues which i will address separately.
that aside what will be the best way to remove this mold?
all the mold is on wood surfaces.
i have heard bleach or peroxide?
my intention is to spray either the bleach or peroxide and than vacuum.
hoping to do this as a DIY project so any advice will be appreciated.
thanks

I would deal with the moisture problem first. Without the high humidity/moisture the mold will die or go dormant. Trying to remove the mold before dealing with the moisture is almost pointless as it will just return. I never try to treat or remove mold as it goes away on it's own when you get the humidity down. If you want a chlorine solution is inexpensive and easy to apply, just wear old clothes when you apply it.
