Relocating a phone jack with wiremold

I need to relocate a phone jack a couple feet, and for the ease of it, I would like to make that last couple feet run on the surface in wiremold, and surface mount the new jack. I've never used wiremold or other raceway before. None of the surface mount jacks I have found seem to be compatible with wiremold. Am I supposed to run it to a wiremold box, and use a flush-mount jack on the box instead?

Run it to a shallow wire-mold box and then get a phone jack plate that mounts to the box. Like this: https://www.homedepot.com/p/Leviton-...-PMT/202059794

Shallow box: https://www.amazon.com/Legrand-Wirem...25404281&psc=1

You may also want to look at Wiremold or Panduit plastic raceway which can be easier to install.

Fantastic! That's the idea I was trying to convey. Unfortunately, not being familiar with the products, I lacked the words to describe it. Thank you!
