Free Windows 10 Upgrade Methods
Question --- Will a Windows 10 repair/recovery disk do the free Windows 10 upgrade from Windows 7 or 8?
As opposed to the much more expensive "retail" or "oem" disk that would make "free" upgrade into an oxymoron.
It would take weeks to get gigabytes downloaded using the internet, the equivalent of the Windows 10 DVD onto my computer. And all the while my use of the internet will be slower because the download is using up precious bandwidth.

Are you still using dial up? The .iso file for Windows 10 64 bit is 3 2/3 GB, IIRC and downloads in the background pretty quickly, even with my slow DSL service.
