Way to remove plaque from cement walkway?

My walk to the front door has sunk several inches. I have put bricks in front of step, and step is still higher than it should be. I am planning on replacing walk. The only issue is the builder put a bronze plaque in the cement with their name on it. Is there a way to remove plaque, and put it in the new sidewalk?

I have to ask - Why? They obviously have issues with front sidewalks....

I wouldn't bother putting it back in place, especially if they're not the ones doing the work! They're not paying you, are they?

I guess because they built the house, I should leave it there. Also, the plaque is of a style the builder doesn't use anymore, so if I got a replacement it would be a new style.

Unless you like the unique design of it I agree with the others there isn't much sense in keeping it. If you do decide to reuse it you'll have to do careful work with a hammer and chisel. To start with just try to remove it along with the concrete that it's attached too and work on cleaning it up later.

Oh, I see now...it shows who built the house. I thought it was showing who did the concrete work.

Still wouldn't be too crazy about having something permanent like that on a house that I paid for. It's kinda like those car dealerships that insist on putting their dealer sticker on the cars they sell.

If you're set on keeping the plaque, maybe find a spot on the house somewhere to attach it...

Guess that shows my point of view - I remove that stuff from my car.
