Beam Saw

I'm building a new patio covering and wondering if anyone has suggestions for cutting 6x6 and 6x10 lumber. I need to cut the 6x6 posts down to size, and also need to cut angles on the ends of the header and rafters. See the attached image.

As far as I can tell, the only saw big enough to make cuts that deep in one pass is this beam saw from Makita. Not worth buying for one project and I'm not sure if anyone locally rents it:

Handsaw or chain saw would work for the posts since there are only two of them. If you know a woodworker with a decent bandsaw, that would make quick work of the tapers. You'd need a support stand and some help, but do-able.

You could use a chainsaw and then clean up the cuts with a portable power plane.

You could make a guide out of scrap wood and then cut from both sides using a circ saw. That will get you 2/3 of the way there, then finish with a hand saw.

I suppose you could do it with a recip saw, but it would be a sloooowwww go.
