Retaining Wall Front Drainage
I'm putting in a pool and on one side I will have 3' of a concrete patio that will slope away from the pool. I will have a retaining wall at the edge of this patio with a french drain behind the retaining wall. My question is what to do about the water coming off the slope from the pool? Would I need to put a linear drain in front of the retaining wall?

I may not have explained it well. The patio will be at the bottom of the retaining wall because I had to dig out to level the pool. My concern is is would create a puddle of water at the bottom of the retaining wall where it meets the patio.
