Remediating humid deck stairs
Hey all,
My deck stairs are resting on thin (~3") concrete tiles that are now flush with the grass. As a result, the stair stringers show evidence of early onset rot. How would one go about delaying the inevitable rebuild?
Could I cut a few inches the bottom of the stringers and elevate somehow? How would you tackle this issue?
Thank you. Pictures below.

I'd clean them and restain. Keeping the coating in good shape will help a lot along with keeping dirt/debris away from the wood. You might consider cutting back the sod a little on the right.
