Stains on new asphalt driveway

I had an asphalt driveway put in a few weeks ago. As you can see in the pic, anything that touches it leaves a stain. I figured those hose stains were just dirt at first, but we just had a torrential thunderstorm yesterday and that didn't wash them away. Towards the back of the drive you can also see a tire mark...it's not indented at all; it's that same light brownish staining that the hose is leaving. Any ideas what's going on here?

You might contact whoever did the asphalt work for suggestions. Have you tried using a brush and water on a small area to see what that does?

I gave your idea a shot, marksr - I gave it a scrubbing with water and a little detergent, then rinsed with the hose. No joy - the hose marks are still there - though it pretty much got rid of the tire mark for some reason. Still trying to figure out why a hose would leave a stain...it doesn't make sense to me.
