Building Pool Deck Need Guidance

For the posts would you

1. Dig a hole below the frost line and fill it with cement until it is even with the ground then put the posts on an anchor?

2. Dig a hole below the frost line fill it with cement then put the post in the cement.

3. Use deck block with post.

I live in NJ so I know the frost line is deep. I am not sure how stable the deck block will be. Of course the wood will be treated.

Anyway any help will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

Yes, option 1.

See the DCA 6 deck guide.

I used to do option 2 but next deck will have Sonatubes that are just above ground with brackets!

Definitely option 1. It's just too easy to simply swap posts out years down the road if required when you have them resting on Sono tube anchors. I once did a really dirty deck support job on a house I knew I was selling in 5 years though. I only dug down about 24" dropped a cement post block at the bottom, put the post in it and then backfilled with cement. Whoever gets stuck replacing that deck frame will be invoking curses against me I'm sure. Definitely not a rot proof or easily replaceable way to go although I suppose it's not really any worse against rot than what those fence post guys we hire do
