Dryer Vent Blocking Deck

Working on plans to install a floating deck behind my house, but the dryer vent is at the exact level as the header. Do I box around the vent? I live in the South East so I'm not worried about freezing temperatures. The exterior of my home is built with poured concrete; really don't want to move the vent. Ideas?

Welcome to the forums.

It looks like choice A or choice A.
If you don't move the vent you don't have much choice other than framing around it but that won't look very attractive.

See Post #7 in the following link for a suggestion about how to deal with dryer vent under/through deck. The metal grate is for shoe cleaning outside the door and has nothing to do with the vent. The vent is ducted directly into the drain box.
